Soul food in Las Vegas? There’s no better way to be gluttonous than by digging into a plate of soul food, and afterall, Vegas is named SIN CITY, so some gluttony is in order! Las Vegas is known for its glitz and glam, luxurious hotels, and upscale nightlife and dining, but EarlyVegas.com and LasVegasSoul.com know that there’s no better way to preface a night out in Vegas or to cure a hangover than a good ol’ plate of soul food. Check out these picks for top 5 Las Vegas soul food restaurants to transport you to a Southern state of mind while visiting Las Vegas:
1. M&M Soul Food Café
M&M Soul Food Cafe in Las Vegas claims they are “Satisfying Your Taste By Soothing Your Soul,” and we agree. Located in Westside Las Vegas, this Vegas soul food restaurant is off the Strip, but definitely worth the drive. Expect real southern cuisine (salty, greasy, and delicious), for some comfort food that will leave you satisfied and wanting to come back for more (some other night though, because you’ll definitely leave with a full stomach). Our favorite menu items include: Fried Chicken, Hot Wings, Sausage Links, and the Cat Fish.

2. Gritz Café
The intimate setting for some cozy Southern Hospitality makes this restaurant one of our Vegas favorites for soul food. Their Southern breakfast options, Lazy Lunches, and homemade desserts make this a top pick for soul food in Vegas. Finding Vegas cheap eats can be difficult with all of the tourism and high end hotels, but this Vegas restaurant gives you a solid bang for your buck. Our favorite dishes were the Grits Bowl specialty plate for Southern Breakfast ($6.50 and topped with an egg, cheese, and sausage or bacon), the Po Boy Lazy Lunch (Fried Catfish on a 6 inch grilled hoagie roll served with lettuce, tomatoes, and special sauce), and the Peach Cobbler ($3.00) or Choco-Walnut Cookies ($2.50) for dessert.
